A golf ball dispenser looks simple from the outside: a hopper, a base, a pedal. What is easy to miss is that there is no motor and no battery anywhere in it. The entire mechanism runs on gravity and a single tap. Here is exactly how that works.
Three steps, no wiring
Our golf ball dispenser breaks down into three simple steps every time you use it.
Tap. A light tap with a club or your foot triggers the mechanism. No batteries, no motor, no power required at any point.
Gravity does the work. The hopper holds up to twenty five balls. The moment you tap, gravity feeds the next one into position, no electronics involved.
One ball, every time. A single ball drops into place, ready for your next shot, so your practice rhythm never has to break to reset or reach for another ball.
That is the entire mechanism. No app, no charging cable, nothing to sync. Just a tap and a ball, repeated for as long as the hopper is full. It is a mechanical answer to a mechanical problem, which is part of why there is so little that can go wrong with it over time.
Built to work the same for everyone
The dispenser works the same for left and right handed golfers, since the tap can come from either side and gravity does not care which hand holds the club. It is designed to keep a hitting area clean and repeatable, whether you are practicing at home, working through a bucket at the range, or set up in a simulator bay where a stray ball rolling around actually gets in the way.
What comes with it
Two set options cover most setups. Classic includes the base, ball guider, pedal, hopper, and adjustable legs, everything you need to start tapping and dispensing right away. Premium includes everything in Classic plus a funnel for smoother ball delivery, useful if you want the feed dialed in as tight as possible.
Common questions about the mechanism
Is it powered? No. It runs entirely on gravity and a tap, nothing else. There is nothing to charge and nothing to replace.
Does it work for left and right handed golfers? Yes, it works the same for both, since the trigger is a simple tap rather than anything hand specific.
Will it work with a simulator setup? Yes. It is built to keep a hitting area clean and repeatable for simulator bays, backyard nets, and range sessions alike.
Why the material matters to the mechanism
A gravity fed mechanism only stays accurate if the parts holding it together do not warp, soften, or swell. That is part of why we print our dispensers in UV resistant PETG rather than standard PLA, covered in more detail on our PETG page. A hopper that shifts shape in the heat is a hopper that stops feeding balls the way it is supposed to, which is exactly the kind of failure a gravity based design cannot hide.
Every dispenser starts as a CAD model, gets test printed, and is adjusted until the tap, drop, and reset happen the same way every single time before it ever ships. That matters more for a mechanical, gravity based design than it would for something electronic, since there is no software to patch after the fact. If the tap, drop, and reset do not line up exactly right during testing, the fix happens in the model and the part gets printed again, not in an update pushed out later.
